Practical training sessions often focus on extraction techniques and other procedures that require confidence and precision. To allow participants to learn safely, these sessions use non-living specimens that provide realistic practice without patient risk. Hospitals are responsible for sourcing suitable specimens; guidance can be provided if needed.
In-hospital sessions are ideal for veterinarians who are new to dental procedures or wish to build a stronger foundation in companion-animal dentistry. Those with more advanced experience may benefit from attending a group wetlab offered in collaboration with Dr. Hiscox, which provides advanced surgical and radiographic training.
